The goal for this project – a concept for a magazine spread – was to match the style of a magazine, using a timeline of a person or event as the content. I chose Harper’s Bazaar as the magazine because out of the choices presented, it was the one I was most inclined to read. Amelia Earhart’s career in aviation was used as the timeline because I thought it would be interesting to research her aviation career. This spread pairs the classic Didot typeface Harper’s Bazaar is known for using, along with their style of collaging image and type featuring imagery of Amelia herself.
